Plant-Based Nutritionist, Fitness Instructor
Leslie Harrison is a plant based advocate who left her legal career to pursue her passion to educate anyone who will listen about the health benefits of eating plants.
Leslie is a Food for Life Instructor with the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine and holds a certificate in Plant Based Nutrition through eCornell.
She is a regular contributor to the food section of Lifestyle Magazine, writing articles and sharing plant based recipes. When Leslie is not in the kitchen you can find her teaching a weekly cycle class, running or practicing yoga.
Compassion is what drives her and she fulfills this drive in part by serving on the board of directors of the East Texas Food Bank and the SPCA of East Texas.
Leslie’s nutrition knowledge is influential in guiding the food bank to implement policies allowing for healthier choices for those in need. She has been known to hold impromptu lectures on the virtues of little know vegetables in the produce section of grocery stores, as well as round-up “plant curious” individuals to join in the monthly meatless potluck she hosts with the plant based group Eat Healthy Tyler.
Leslie lives in Tyler, Texas with her husband, three children and two rescue dogs.
